This page publishes a summary of the VerifyU privacy policy on the web so you can read it in a browser, on any device, without opening the VerifyU app or creating an account. Sharing

How long it is kept
Information is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes described in the policy, or for as long as required by law, and is then securely deleted or anonymised.
Security
The policy describes protective measures for the information held, and states plainly that no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. VerifyU makes no claim of perfect security, and this website makes none either.
Children
The app is intended for people aged 13 and over. Children under 13 are covered through a parent's or guardian's account rather than an account of their own.
Your rights
You can ask to access the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Requests can be made through the settings in the app or by contacting the team. How to request deletion.

Biometric and facial data notice
What is known today. VerifyU collects facial data during registration and uses it for identity verification and for matching a face to a registered profile when someone with scanning access runs a check. Face verification is completed by you, in the app, as part of registration.
What is not yet published. A formal biometric notice — covering the legal basis for processing facial data, how the facial template is stored and protected, how long it is retained, whether it is processed by any external service, and how consent is given and withdrawn — has not been drafted. Facial data is sensitive personal data. In the context of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a dedicated, clearly written biometric notice is likely to be expected of a product like this. Consistency review (for the VerifyU team)
These are differences found between the published privacy policy, the two app-store listings, press material and this website. They are listed here openly because they need resolving before launch, not because they are settled. Each one needs an owner decision.
- 1 · Google Play Data Safety says "No data collected". The app collects name, phone number, email, facial data and medical information. The Data Safety declaration should be rewritten to match what the app actually collects and why, including the sensitive categories. - 2 · "No third-party sharing" versus how the product necessarily works. Sending an OTP requires an SMS provider; selling subscriptions through the stores means Apple and Google process payments; running the service requires cloud hosting (verifyu.in refers to AWS India). These are processors and should be disclosed as such, with a clear statement that they act on VerifyU's instructions. - 3 · App Store privacy declaration is incomplete. It lists Location and Contact Info, but not health or medical information and not biometric or facial data — both of which the app collects. Legal reviewSource: App Store listing, id6670164958.
- 4 · The developer name differs across sources. "BEAUFORT IT SOLUTIONS PVT LTD" on Google Play, "Beaufort IT Solutions LLP" on the App Store and in the ANI release, and "Beaufort IT Solutions Pvt. - 5 · Two support addresses are in circulation. help@verifyu.in appears in the store listings and the policy; info@beaufortit.com is used on this website. - 7 · A biometric and facial data notice may be legally required. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, processing facial data warrants a specific notice and a clear consent record. This needs a qualified adviser, not a website draft. Legal reviewSee the biometric section above.
- 8 · App-store description language needs aligning. The App Store description still carries "deterrent against trafficking" style claims. The app descriptions should be brought in line with the language used on this website: VerifyU supports identification and communication, and does not promise prevention, rescue or a guaranteed outcome.
